Our story
A family-founded venue on Tobacco Road, shaped by East Texas land and the belief that a wedding day should feel unhurried, personal, and quietly grand.
A Place With Roots
Sweet Briar Farm was born from a simple wish — to build a place worthy of the days that
matter most. We spent years walking the land, listening to the oaks, and imagining a venue
where architecture, nature, and hospitality could feel like one whole thing.
What grew here is an heirloom in the making: a warm timber-and-glass barn set among
century-old trees, gardens tended by hand, and a small team who treats every couple like
the only couple on the calendar.

The Venue
At the center of the farm stands The Oaks, a soaring barn of blackened steel, warm cedar, and floor-to-ceiling windows. By day, sunlight pours across the reception floor; by night, chandeliers and string lights turn the whole building into a lantern under the trees.

A note from
the founders
We started Sweet Briar Farm as a love letter to East Texas — to
slow mornings, honest craftsmanship, and the kind of gatherings
you feel in your bones. Every couple who celebrates here becomes
part of that letter. We can't wait to meet you.
— The Briar Family
The Land
Rolling pasture, wildflower borders, a stone-lined ceremony grove, and heirloom oaks that were here long before we were. The farm was designed to feel gathered, not groomed — a place that gently frames the day without asking for attention.

In their words
“You can feel the intention in every corner of this place — the way the light hits the barn at dusk, the way the oaks lean in like witnesses. Sweet Briar isn't a venue, it's a memory in the making.”
“Sweet Briar Farm gave us more than a venue — it gave us a feeling. Every guest still talks about the oaks at sunset, the
candles, the way it all felt like ours.”
